"Cottage cheese isn't exactly the best food for him to be eating..." Maybe not, but my dog has had cancer for more than 5 years. It's a hematoma, and at first he was on kibble, then kibble with cottage cheese and rice, then finally just cottage cheese and rice - as it was the only thing he could keep down.? Now I add chicken for dinner. He's survived on it for 4 years and my vet gave him 6 months max when he was diagnosed. The tumor is inoperable - it's wrapped around major arteries.

Cottage cheese isn't exactly the best food for him to be eating... When a puppy? is weaned, its body stops producing the enzyme that digests Lactase... (true about pretty much every animal) so they become Lactose Intolerant and too much dairy causes diarrhea and screws up their digestion... so I hope he is still doing good!

"I read it on the Internet." . . . how did I know that was coming? God, how I cringe when a pet? owner utters those words!

you must be a patient soul to be working around individual people. That the very first? in any buisness with the public.
By: czerniana. on 09 Dec 11, 10:08:14

I hope you don't have? pets.
By: RBNightlinger. on 23 Sep 11, 05:29:01
Yup, this is the way many 'responsible pet owners' behave. I've been a groomer, a vet tech, and a trainer. Got burned out on all of them because of the idiocy I had to deal with every single day. More power? to the ones who can stick with it.

Thanks for replying! I? think it's time I work my people skills then :)
By: goshawkf. on 21 Sep 11, 20:19:56
, Unfortunately, all too often. You DO have to have a lot of patience to work in the field. I think it helps to keep in mind that while you are there to treat a? client's pet, you are also there to partially educate (as much as you can).
By: HipHopJun. on 21 Sep 11, 20:14:50
How often do you get idiots like this? I want to be a Vet Tech, but I'm not that good with people. I would? totally lose patience with a moron like this.
By: gsdmondioring. on 30 Aug 11, 23:29:10

By: RedneckYachtClubber. on 22 Aug 11, 05:18:39
Spaying and neutering is cruel... Can't fix? the problem? Chop it's balls off... Yeah, that's good! *rolls eyes*
By: goshawkf. on 16 Aug 11, 04:39:06
Well, I'm? STILL a veterinary technician. I'd rather not post my hourly rate though. Let's just say it's definitely enough to live on by myself, but not great if you want to buy a house.
